1989: With the formation of the AHGATC Reg was appointed Official Town Crier for the City of Maryborough and attended the first National Championships in Ipswich. Reg competed in 14 National Championships.
1993: Hosted the National Championships
1994: Awarded the Maryborough Citizen of the Year
1997: Hosted a Town Crier’s Competition for Maryborough’s Sesquicentenary
1997 & 1998: Treasurer of the Guild and was a Committee Member for a number of years.
2001: Presented with the Centenary Medal by the Governor General
2005: Hosted 11th World Town Crier’s Championships in Maryborough
(Reg attended three other World Championships)
2006: Accepted Australia Day Award for Town Crier’s Championship Event of the Year
Reg fired Maryborough’s Time Cannon at the Markets and was involved in all Official functions, sporting and Community events.
Reg was a Life Member and held his Official position until his death in 2009.
